In beginning the Lord God commanded us as to what we should eat. The Book of Genesis says, "See I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed, to you it shall be for food" (Genesis 1:29). This commandment was for Adam and Eve, as well as for all of us. However, they didn’t choose the Tree of Life; therefore, we are not able to live forever because of their choice. Some people may ask how it is possible for a person to live healthy lives forever only subsisting on herbs and fruit, with no fish or meat in our diets. This is how angels in Heaven live. This is called an incorruptible life.
In the beginning, the Lord God created the land, sea, and spring water. He also created the heavens, including the air, clouds, sun, moon, and stars, which all help each other care for every life on earth. He spoke the words "be fruitful and multiply", blessing all His creation to multiply in numbers, and there was so much food plant production. The ground grew food naturally without the help of human hands. All living things such as food plants as well as the beasts in the wild, fowl in the air, fish in the seas, and cattle were capable of making nutrients such as vitamins and minerals within themselves. There were an abundance of nutrients in the air, as well as in the water of the Garden of Eden. These same words that God spoke went into the internal physical bodies, minds, and hearts of Adam and Eve. This magnificent work of God made every physical body independent from nature. The body didn't need to eat much variety of food to get all the necessary vitamins and minerals. Since their physical bodies can produce nutrients without depending on food, eating the apple was not a physical need. Adam and Eve only ate to fill the wants of the physical body. Let’s assume their eating patterns were the same as ours, eating a bunch of broccoli would be most filling and be the equivalent of our three meals a day. However, there was not much need to eat it. Some of you may feel that the fruits and vegetables would rot if there were no need for them. The Garden of Eden, which is hidden today to the eyes of everyone, has a perfect balance of elements found in nature. This perfection creates a perfect temperature to live healthily. There are no bacteria causing decay or suppression of growth of living things like the fruit of the trees, the cattle, and the fowl. The ground in the Garden of Eden, from which Adam was created, could sustain life forever.
When Adam and Eve sinned, their incorruptible bodies, which were made for eternal life, gradually deteriorated with the production of nutrients and the internal process of cell formation. They became dependent upon nature’s help. This started after the Lord God cursed the ground.
Genesis 3:17 Cursed is the ground for your sake, in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life.
The curse reaches all things contained in the heavens, including the sun, the air, and the clouds. On earth, the water and all things affected by the curse resulted in an imbalance in the weather temperature. Anything such as the ground, the physical body, and all living things that depends on the help of the water will suppress growth and development. The rising and falling of the temperature gives bacteria the opportunity to grow. Bacteria cause decay and consume the lives of both living and nonliving things. It brings forth gradual death to every life, and corrupts every nonliving thing on earth. The only way to continue life outside of the Garden of Eden is by depending on each other’s help. A physical body can no longer supplies all the nutrients from its own. A person needs to eat fruits, vegetables and meat in order to get all the nutrients that his/her body needs in order to live. Everything and everyone on earth which was independent, after the curse, they became dependent on each other's help to get healthy lives physically, emotionally and mentally.
All things are possible with God, and only He has the power to reverse what man intends for evil and turn it into good results. And that is only if people will seek His face, repent in Jesus Christ name and humbly turn themselves away from every evil thought and deed. That is by following the two greatest commandments which is by loving God with all our hearts and to love people without selfish motives. The Lord God is able to restore all things since He controls good and evil. Only He is able to take away all offensive things and reverse the effects of a curse that distress the living. It has already been prophesied about restoration.
Exodus 23:25 So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
Acts 3:19-21 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of Lord and that He may send Jesus Christ who was preached to you before, whom Heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
